Helpful Hints With Steve                                         BACK TO HOME : ARCHIVE INDEX

"Hi, Steve Logan here. As you know I'm off to Tunisia so unfortunately there is no HHWS this week. I would however like to wish everyone competing in the Station Masters Spring Outing this weekend, the very best of luck. You will never have a better chance to win the coveted yellow jacket given that Simon Davie is still recovering from a drink-related illness and of course I'm off to give the local Tunisian pro some helpful hints. In fact, its like Rangers and Celtic not playing in the Scottish Cup.    (That's very true - they are both crap as well. The Editor)

Anyway before I go, here are a couple of e-mails I received last week. Keep them coming in and remember - LEFT FOOT FORWARD on Sunday.

"Dear Steve, I would just like to take this opportunity to say what a wonderful job the committee is doing.  Marvellously efficient and mistake free, it is a model for other clubs".

Elliot Davie
Hon Secretary

"Dear Steve, I found the latest helpful hints very beneficial to fine tune my exceedingly
high putting standard.

However, I am very disappointed when looking at the 2 photographs supporting
the putting hints, assuming these are members in the photographs, the dress
code on display is quite deplorable for a golf club. At least 3 of the
participants appear to be wearing denim jeans. Even worse, in the
background, a member seems to be wearing a DENIM shirt to match his jeans,
unbelievable.

I trust these members who show such a scant disregard for golfing dress
sense be tracked down and suitable disciplinary action taken".

Yours in sport.

David Muir
Area Manager

"Mmm,  I wonder who was bringing the club into disrepute by wearing denim? He looks very familiar. If you can identify him, please inform the Committee and the appropriate action will be taken".

Here is the culprit with his back to the camera

Here he has cunningly removed his denim shirt to avoid  detection.

"That's all for now fans. Tune in next time for more HHWS".
