Comic Relief star drops in for a game

Top comedian and Comic Relief star, Rob Brydon, took time off his hectic tour schedule this week to unwind with a round of golf over the famous Carnoustie links. Rob is on the Scottish leg of his nationwide tour and jumped at the chance to meet up with his old friend Andy Gilbride for a few hours relaxation before performing to a full house at the Caird Hall in Dundee.  Andy, accompanied by Captain Jim Simpson took on Rob and his tour manager, John Taylor, in a nail-biting match which saw the visitors securing a 2 and 1 win.

Andy later commented, "never trust a Welshman - they said they weren't that good players so we gave them a shot a hole. After supplying them with clubs and paying them on to the course, they even hassled us at the end of the round for the £3 bet we had made on the match!"

Rob is currently enjoying great success in the hit TV sit-com Gavin and Stacey, having previously starred in comedy classics including I'm Alan Partridge, The Keith Barret Show and Little Britain. His current Comic Relief single, Islands in the Stream, featuring legendary Tom Jones is destined for the number 1 spot later this week.

Remember, if you haven't already done so - it's still not too late to donate money to Comic Relief.
